This is my all time favorite..
Rating: 5You probably have to be able to appreciate British humor and realize that they can make anything funny, even a retirement home. What more can I say after I say it is my all time favorite DVD.

Fun approach to aging .
Rating: 5Two elderly persons become neighbors at a rest home in England. The man is a dreamer and sees the good in everything. The woman is bitter about life. All her friends are dead and gone and she never had children, so has no one to turn to in her older years. She says what she thinks and is very determined to do right where she sees a wrong. The pair are hillarious as they even each other out in their day to day dealings with a greedy and uncaring rest home Director. It is well worth watching.

Indispensable for us Baby Boomers.
Rating: 5This series has all of the delightful, slightly wicked humor we expect from our British comedies. Its edge and irony and humor are the best kind - too close to truth not to be funny. Just a little larger than life.
As our parents get older and we get older this just gets funnier.

Waiting for God is a hoot!.
Rating: 5I've been a big fan of this Brit-com for years! The characters are wacky, witty, well-drawn, often poignant, sometimes philosophical. I have worked in retirement homes, but those were nothing like this! I sure wish they had been! For all their outrageousness, the characters are very likable and endearing--even Harvey "the Idiot" Baines. I can't wait to own the entire series!

Great Series.
Rating: 5We really enjoy the Brit com's and it is great to not be at the mercy of the PBS scheduling.
