Four star content, one star packaging.
Rating: 4I am a huge Simpsons fan, having all the seasons on DVD. This is not the best season of the Simpsons (my opinion), but it's still very good. Anyone who is more then a casual fan will enjoy owning this item.
Except for the packaging. I don't know if the "normal" packaging ( I have the Krusty the Clown head special packaging that's shaped like Krusty) is any better, but it was a very poor idea to put the DVD's in deep cardboard sleeves that guarantee you will scratch them or fingerprint them!
As another reviewed mentioned, I have the original packaging to all previous seasons. From season 6 on, the packaging keeps getting more creative. And not in a good way! Please, I buy this series because I love the show, not the box you keep the DVD in. How about going back to normal packaging, like seasons 1-5?
Good season, terrible packaging.

The packaging really is as bad as everyone says.
Rating: 2I read several reviews here and elsewhere mentioning the bad packaging for this series. I wondered, "how bad could it be?" I recently bought this set on sale and I have my answer: "it really is as bad as everyone says."
I should also point out that I bought the "standard" packaging, not the "limited edition" version with the molded plastic Krusty head. I don't know what the inside packaging of the Krusty head version is like, but the standard edition is truly awful. Inside the outer box, it's basically a big fold-out piece of cardboard with your DVDs shoved into it. It's difficult to get the discs out, and I'm certain that taking them out and putting them back in will lead to scratching up the playable surface of the discs.
As to the DVDs themselves and the episodes contained therein, it's up to you to decide whether or not you want this. Personally I think season 11 is when the series really started to turn sour. There are a few good episodes here, but several stinkers. That's why I held off on buying this set until I found a great sale price. Between the decline in quality of the episodes themselves and this new awful packaging, this will probably be the last complete season of the Simpsons that I'll buy on DVD.

Great season, but HORRIBLE PACKAGING!!!.
Rating: 3As with previous seasons, the quality of the dvds is quite good. The interface is nice and the content is great. However, the packing is dismal (read other reviews for details.)
I urge everyone who is upset with the packaging to contact Fox Home Entertainment (http://www.foxhome.com/) and complain. (You have to click on the contact link in the lower right-hand corner of the page.)

Terrific Overall.
Rating: 4First off, I didn't find the packaging to be nearly as bad as many of the other reviews made it out to be. Sure, it's worse than in previous seasons (especially the early ones), but certainly doesn't affect the set as a whole. You may get a few small fingerprints on the discs, but that's about it.
As far as the content is concerned, Season 11 is definitely past the prime of the series, but still entertaining nonetheless. I would recommend to any fan of The Simpsons.
