The Late, Late Night Show.

I have enjoyed this set of classic mysteries. Most of the moves I had not seen in years since the Late, Late Night Movies, were on TV. These took me back to when I was teenager and would stay up late with my mother. She would tell me stories about the stars and other movies with then in that were the same type. This set brought back memories and also there were other movies that were sequiels that she had told me about but had never seen. The quality of the films have not been totaly restored, but improvements have been maded, making viewing enjoyable. Their are a few films that jump as if frames are missing but overall a great set for the price.

This is a great package for lovers of older mystery movies with some real hidden gems in there. I have 12 of these individual movies and wish I had known about this sooner.

Love these old flicks!.

Love to watch these "stories" especially at the end of the day -- they provide a real break from the current realities and transport your mind to another time and place and provide an interesting glimpse into how some of our perspectives and perceptions have evolved over the decades, and how others have stayed the same. Whether or not you will enjoy this set depends on whether you are being analytically critical or just in the mood for a story told from another perspective -- there's plenty here for either -- especially for the price.

Great finds!.

Many of the films in here are not strictly mysteries, but they are all older and many are real gems, of the 60-minute "serial" variety and otherwise. The transfers are pretty good. If you like "Dick Tracy" type, true mystery films, there are a number of them, as well as a real hodgepodge of other classics (and non-classics). Again, you have to be a fan of forgotten old movies. I have a number of collections from this company, all of which were worth the few dollars I paid for them!
